![]() ![]() Remember what happened to Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro. This is sad because they demonstrated that they can build excellent ones but they can screw up their customers badly too. ![]() Never again I will invest time and money in any Apple software. I was really upset when Apple killed it in a sense that you invest time and money in something from a big company and you are sure that you are doing right and this company screw you up by killing his app. Also, the day you want to change software, this is more complicated to migrate over something else. Having a single library or being able to manage many different libraries has certainly some advantages but I got a major corruption once and went through a lot of pain. It might still do the job for some people but not everyone. Aperture was an excellent software well ahead of his time but unfortunately, it is a dead software as this is not supported anymore by anybody. Well, it depends what you are looking for. Personally, I think the hype clearly outweighs the quality of the product. I'll take Apertures grid for straigthening images any day of the week. I absolutely hate the "level" tool it is ridiculous. Thus, I find it a nuisance cruising through folders. First, no other photo processing application has a SINGLE library like Aperture. I really is not a replacement for Aperture and I have the full version of RAW, released yesterday. Looks this ON1 Photo Raw will get very well along with Affinity Photo I encourage everyone to have a look at on1.com especially those who are still looking for an Aperture replacement. Wow!!! Came across this new software yesterday and been looking their bunch of videos. Wished I would have saved that email I am sure they would gotten a laugh! Macros (actions), HDR merge, focus stacking and the list goes on.įunny thing I emailed Serif back in 1997 when I went to the Mac OS (7.6) and asked them if they were going to make a Mac compatible suite like they did with Windows. Here's the link for Affinity's new features. I like On1 probably get an email on the link for their RAW and compare it with Affinity. If you go to their forums they are working on "actions" I forget what they call it but I think you'll have record them over again. I started looking at Acorn and Pixelmator but then discovered Affinity and ran the early beta. Not sure what their doing or why it's different but they could increase $ales to get them to work between them. I can get some of the photoshop plugins to work like NIK will work but the Onone10 won't. It will work with Affinity one way from RAW. ![]()
